Director: Kabir Khan
Rating : 4/5
In India festivities are ringed, in a special way. If it’s not the hustle around that catches your interest, the constant trailer reel of an upcoming star studded movie will become your spoiler. This year Salman Khan has taken upon his mighty shoulders to give us, the viewers, a big reason to celebrate-His anticipated movie “Bajrangi Bhaijaan”. Well, come to think of it, director Kabir khan knows the worthy template far too well. He ropes in the biggest Bollywood star to deal with the ever loved INDIA-PAKISTAN issue, can you see it getting any better?.
Let’s just assume the obvious fact that the movie has “blockbuster” slapped all over it. How ? you ask; for starters, the leading lady is magnificent, the locations are thrilling, the music score by Pritam is a good mix especially the song zindagi and the film’s marketing team worked relentlessly to come up with a never sought after marketing plan for the film- let’s release it on EID!!
Kabir Khan, director of Ek Tha Tiger has successfully created an engaging character in Bajrangi, where Salman Khan plays the protagonist Pawan Chaturvedi aka Bajrangi bhakt who is morality personified. He won’t cheat, won’t lie even if he’s bound to, and has a weird custom of bowing down in front of monkeys whom he, like many Indians considers avatars of Lord Hanuman – the list is endless. So when Shahida aka Munni (Harshaali Malhotra) who is voiceless, loses her way from Pakistan and ends up in India (Gadar flashback may we add ?), she takes rest and comfort in Pawan’s arms. Of course, the agreement isn’t mutual and the first half of the movie goes in Pawan trying to figure out who Munni is and what her place of birth is. Kareena Kapoor Khan plays Rasika, Salman’s love interest and the only character responsible of adding color and a ray of glamour in the whole movie.
The palette for rest of the film is extremely rugged and dry. The real film only starts post-interval, when the action, even some logic-defying stunts and scenes take you to Pakistan, with our trio on the run, with some fun-and-frolic, a quwaali-in-a-dargah, and a picturesque if rousingly unreal climax. Although the storyline reeks simplicity yet Bajrangi Bhaijaan‘s characters go through critical situations and roller coasters. Nawaz Siddiqui takes the cadence to another level in the second half by playing an awkward yet smart Pakistani TV reporter. With his addition to the story, things become quite intriguing and interesting. Even though the climax is self predictable and we know where Bajrangi’s story ends, it’s eventually the journey that matters and succeeds to draw you in with its charm.
A worthwhile mention goes out to , V. Vijayendra Prasad’s story that smartly mixes an emotional drama with a love story which is sort of exciting. His stories never boast of too many twists and turns, and that puts the spotlight back on its primary characters. The way the director introduces Nawazuddin Siddiqui, his understanding of mainstream commercial cinema will amaze you, the character pauses, hamming and high pitched dialogues… everything adds value to the character he plays. We will mention, Kabir Khan and Neelesh Misra’s script has its share of flaws and damages, making not only the movie but even the duo on a long, superfluous run. The dialogues are very well scripted and keep the humor aspect going and so we know, the writers walked on razor sharp edges, taking precautions not to hurt any religious sentiments, the one-liners in the movie bring out the deep-rooted contradictions of our society.
Needless to say, this film easily qualifies to be Salman Khan’s highly applauded performance till date, featuring his career’s best performance. The film wins you over completely even with the lack of any item number. Yeah, comes as a surprise; doesn’t it. So what’s our word? Don’t miss this emotional journey of Pavan and Munni as it will touch your heart. As for box office numbers, expect fire crackers at the box office on this Eid. So all in all, a not-to-be missed movie.

Deepika Padukone in Sabyasaachi. The reigning queen of Bollywood was an utter vision in a sparkling (not to mention very elegant) Sabya creation.
Neha Dhupia in PELLA. Miss Dhupia has always been a risk-taker when it comes to fashion, often emerging a complete winner. So it shouldn’t come as a surprise that she makes it to our list of top dressers at IIFA!
Huma Qureshi was nothing short of stunning in her flaming red Gauri and Nainika gown.
Speaking of flaming, Anushka Sharma was gorgeous in her bright tangerine gown by Gauri and Nainika Karan.
Turning heads in yet another shade of red, this one darker and more elegant, was Dia Mirza, in her Shantanu and Nikhil outfit which literally showed no skin at all. But we think she looked amazing, all the same!
Showing off her well toned curves in an ensemble by Anamika Khanna was actress Jacqueline Fernandez.
Lisa Haydon has gathered a reputation of rather being on fleek when her style is concerned. Needless to say, she totally was up to our expectations, looking radiant in a sleek white Gaurav Gupta outfit.
Priyanka Chopra (probably still hungover from the incredible success of her Dil Dhadakne Do!) was sporting a charming Jenny Packham number in a pretty pastel shade of pink.
Also rocking a pastel mauve was resident B-town bombshell Malaika Arora Khan, in a figure hugging gown by Michael Cinco.
Tell us who you thought was the best dressed on the IIFA Green Carpet in the comments section below!

A self-made billionaire, he’s still in touch with his middle-class values when it comes to matters of the money. Everything else is as superficial as it gets — be it his jaded marriage to ace cupcake-chomper Neelam (Shefali Shah), his tediously old-fashioned expectations from kids Ayesha and Kabir (Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh) or his relationship of convenience around his equally catty tycoon friends.
The story starts with Pluto Mehra (the Mehras’ beautiful mastiff, who has Aamir Khan lending the voice for him) introducing the characters of a Delhi high-society family, where Kamal Mehra, the patriarch, plays golf and loves talking about his self-made-ness. His wife, Neelam is a typical Punjabi rich-man’s-wife with little to do except meet friends for lunch and make snide comments about them, a favor returned in full by her friends. The Mehras’ marriage has been on the rocks for a long time, but the broken shards are constantly swept under the rug.
Ayesha is the elder child of the family, a businesswoman who has made it to Forbes’ Top 10, thanks to her hard work. She is married to Manav (Rahul Bose), who has “allowed his wife to work despite the fact that no woman in his family has done so, ever”. Kabir, the Mehras’ younger child, is 25, uninterested in taking over his dad’s empire and is adept at piloting planes. The Mehras decide to celebrate 30 years of their superficially perfect marriage by inviting their friends to a 10-day-long cruise to Turkey and Greece.
In these ten days on board the luxury liner, the dysfunctional Mehra family goes through a lot. Here’s where Kabir meets and falls in love with Farah Ali (Anushka Sharma), a spirited below the deck dancer, and makes viewers thank their stars that they get to see the utterly crackling chemistry between the two.
Priyanka is eloquent more with her expressions than her words. Her body language helps portray so much, and deserves much praise. Along with Farhan Akhtar, in a special appearance as the journalist Sunny, Priyanka sets fire to the frame when the two are together. Their exchanges are among the high points in the film. Rahul Bose gets his typically chauvinist Manav across with adequate skill.
Apart from Priyanka-Farhan and Ranveer-Anushka, it is Anil Kapoor who is quite at the ‘top of the world’ as Kamal Mehra, as far as acting is concerned. Alternately refined, boastful, rascally and vulnerable, Kapoor is the life of Zoya’s opulent multi-starrer. Though unfairly neglected to highpoint her livewire co-star, Shefali bites into the part of his disenchanted sounding board just as avidly as her diet in the movie.
Farhan Akhtar’s pat dialogues contribute significantly — they’re the best takeaway from this cruise confection. As is the spot-on timing they’re delivered in. In one fine scene, Ayesha is discussing incompatibility issues in her marriage with her mother. The latter brushes it off arguing how her husband (Rahul Bose) provides her with everything she needs. And there you have it, the swift retort – “Aisa tha toh phir meri mall se shaadi kar dete!”
It’s an eclectic group of impressive actors led by Anil Kapoor, Ranveer Singh and Shefali Shah, making sure they own their respective parts.
Ranveer Singh’s excessive energy is usually a major deterrent but here he contains it so deftly making his low on ambition, dry-humoured but still tender Kabir a delight to watch. Easily his most assured and nuanced delivery.
Farhan Akhtar and Anushka Sharma remain at the periphery triggering romance, realisation and rebellion into the complex Mehra kids. Even if their role isn’t as meaty, their lovely, likeable persona infuses quick, believable chemistry.
Despite all the gyaan Pluto belts out, the movie ends in a rather abrupt, unfulfilling manner. It is a light and definitely charming watch – Zoya Akhtar’s attempt to portray the very real situations of a typical Indian family where parents are dead set on making crucial life choices on behalf of their kids, conveniently ignoring the fact that the said kids are fully functional and capable adults who can make their own decisions.
Basically, the thought that they’re trying to get across is that every heart is different, let every heart beat!
A definite must-watch!

1. In the way of a small introduction to our readers, please tell us about yourself and your music.
Mr. Farooq – Well I am a native Arab from Dubai. What they call an Emirati in
UAE. And I got hooked to Bollywood music thanks to the likes of Kishore Kumar, Lata ji and many
legends. Used to watch a lot of Hindi Movies. So gradually got more and more pulled towards the
movies and songs. Thanks to all those fabulous actors we see on screen and the legends who have
sung songs and the ever brilliant composers like SD and RD Burman, OP Nayyar and many more.
Always had a knack for singing songs and carried on singing as a hobby for a very long time
humming those songs of old. A few years later recorded a cd for family and friends, people liked
what I did so cut an album and released it in the middle east and world wide on digital media
like iTunes etc. Album was called Daastaan. Did really well so started singing professionally.
And here I am
2. Who Are Your Musical Influences?
Mr. Farooq – First and foremost Kishore Kumar. It doesn’t ever get any better than that. A legend and I consider him my Guru. There will never be any one who I was more impressed with. Versatile in every sense and no learnings as a singer – just pure raw talent and a rare breed. Have been a great fan of some of the legends like, Elvis, MJ, BB King, Clapton, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and of the new lot of singers. I love listening to Sonu Nigam, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Arijit Singh, Shreya Ghoshal, Sam Smith, Bruno Mars and Justin Timberlake.
3. What are your fondest musical memories?
Mr. Farooq – Every live performance, every studio recording is a fond memory because every moment is a different moment that I can cherish. No two performances have ever been the same, or no two recordings have ever been the same. What makes it all worthwhile is that I have always had the honor and privilege to have a lovely audience. I have also been lucky to share the stage with some of the top musicians over time like Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, KK, Strings, Kailash Kher and many more.
There is however one moment in my life that stands out and that is going to Pyarelal ji’s house once and spending time with him. Had the highest honor of listening to him play the piano and sing songs for him that he and Laxmikant ji had composed over the years.
4. How do you handle mistakes or lapses during a live performance?
Mr. Farooq – Well its all about confidence. we all make mistakes. you have to either carry on or just be very witty and convert that mistake into a giggle or a laughter for the audience. Or just carry on singing with confidence as if nothing ever happened. You have to always be respectful to the audience especially at a live gig and don’t worry about mistakes because if you are singing from your heart and soul the audience never minds a mistake here or there. In fact they appreciate the fact that we are all human and we all make mistakes.
5. How do you counter nerves before going on stage?
Mr. Farooq – There are many different ways you can do that by maybe initially talking to the audience and breaking the ice, or start singing from behind the stage, get the initial butterflies shrugged off. I tend to do both, depends on the audience and my mood. Also depends on what song I am starting with. Over time the butterflies or the nerves have decreased but they never totally vanish. They are always there and its good because it makes you work hard and appreciate the audience as will the audience appreciate you.
6. If not a singer, what would you have been professionally?
Mr. Farooq – a Cricketer of course as I have represented my UAE National team and was the vice captain for few years too. That’s one game that I absolutely love and will always appreciate what it has taught me about life – about never giving up and about fighting the odds. It’s all about getting up every time you fall and always making a stronger comeback.
7. If a genie gave you 3 wishes, what would you wish for?
Mr. Farooq – a live performance with Kishore Kumar on the same stage, Sanjay Dutt’s freedom and end of terrorism in the world.
8. Who’s your Bollywood crush?
Mr. Farooq – Oh boy! Well, I’d love to take Deepika Padukone and Chitrangada Singh on a date together. They are truly gorgeous.
9. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Mr. Farooq – I live my life one day at a time. Yes, I have aspirations and dreams but many times life doesn’t work out the way you want it to. At the end of the day if I put my head on the pillow to sleep and can manage a smile and thank God for the lovely day then that means the day has been fantastic and tomorrow is another day to fight it out and come out a winner, many days you have scars and bruises to show but that’s all good because we all fight our demons on a daily basis. The important thing is to never let them win.
10. Have you got Bollywood aspirations? Can we expect Adel Farooq’s Bollywood debut some time soon?
Mr. Farooq – I certainly hope so! My biggest idol in Bollywood has been Sanjay
Dutt, the original rockstar and another utmost favorite of mine is Salman Khan. I have had the
honor to meet both of them. Sanjay Dutt I have been lucky to spend some time with and I must say
he is the most amazing human being. I love the guy. So yes to answer your question, i would love
to maybe work with Salman or Sanjay Dutt or even sing for them in their movies. Another wish
that I have is to sing for Mahesh Bhatt saab, the only filmmaker who has been on the ball,
constantly re-inventing himself with changing cinema. He seems like a person who gives new
comers a chance always so hope I do get the opportunity to sing for him, maybe in Aashiqui 3

2. When Harry Met Sally – Who could forget when Harry (Billy Crystal) finally admits he’s in love with Sally (Meg Ryan)? In the movie that made everyone question whether men and women can ever really just be friends, Harry realized he was in love with Sally while spending New Year’s Eve alone and raced to meet her before midnight because “when you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible.” Swoon!
3. The Wedding Singer – Robbie (Adam Sandler) confesses his love for Julia (Drew Barrymore) by serenading her with a personalized song… as she’s aboard a flight to Las Vegas to marry her current (totally awful) fiancé. Sandler’s sweet “Grow Old With You” song has become a popular wedding song ever since the movie hit, and it’s no surprise why.
4. Love Actually – A language barrier couldn’t keep these two apart — while recovering from a broken heart at his French cottage, Jamie (Colin Firth) falls for Portuguese housekeeper Aurélia (Lúcia Moniz), who only speaks her native tongue. After Jamie returns to England, he begins learning Portuguese and later returns to France to find Aurélia. Using his new knowledge, he proposes to her in Portuguese — and then she responds in English, which she has been secretly learning for his sake!
5. Dil Chahta Hai – This movie not only showed us the value of Goa as a tourism spot but also how to propose in style. Aakash, the guy who uses the entire movie to tell you what an awful thing falling in love can be, goes down on his knees and proposes to Shalini at her wedding to another man. And not just that, he uses the same swoon-worthy speech he did when they first met. There’s a reason this movie has cult status.
6. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani – Kabira maan gaya. Nothing is more adorable than the ultimate commitment-phobe offering marriage, the big daddy of all commitments, on a platter. Or in this case, a little blue box with a toffee inside. So much”aww”…
7. Pride and Prejudice – A timeless love story that proves there’s a thin line between love and hate, Elizabeth (Keira Knightley) instantly dislikes Mr. Darcy (Matthew Macfadyen) upon meeting him and swears to “loathe him for all eternity.” Eventually, the two do fall in love, and he successfully proposes to her on the moor at dawn: “You have bewitched me, body and soul, and I love, I love, I love you. I never wish to be parted from you from this day on.” (insides turned to jelly!)
8. The Proposal – This “romance” between boss and assistant begins as an ill-fated attempt for Margaret (Sandra Bullock) to avoid deportation… but then the two actually start to fall for each other. As Margaret is preparing to leave the country, Andrew (Ryan Reynolds) barges into the workplace to confess his love and propose for real: “Marry me… because I’d like to date you.” So many feels! But we absolutely love the fake proposal at the beginning where Andrew makes Margaret kneel down in a Manhattan street (in high heels, no less!).
9. The Notebook – This might be one of the most argumentative proposals ever, but it’s also one of the romantic. Which has NOTHING to do with the fact Ryan Gosling is involved, we swear! “It’s not going to be easy, it’s going to be really hard and we’re going to have to work at this every day. But I want to do that because I want you. I want all of you, forever, you and me every day.”
10. Mujhse Fraandship Karoge – Bollywood’s fresh take on social media fueled romance had one of the best proposal scenes we’ve seen in a long time. Saqib Saleem goes down on a knee and spouts hilarious shayari “Mere dil, jigar, liver mein ho tum … waqt bewaqt aaye woh fever ho tum … ab toh meri life mein forever ho tum”.
11. He’s Just Not That Into You – Ben Affleck’s character moves back in with Jennifer Aniston and asks her to check the pockets of his run down pants before she throws them out. What does she find in the pocket? That’s right, a ring! She turns around to find him on his knees, proposing.
12. Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara – Katrina doesn’t speak a word while proposing to Hrithik in this movie. She just chases him on a bike, looking cool as hell, walks up to him and just kisses him! Best proposal ever.
13. Jab We Met – The incorrigibly chirpy chatterbox that is Geet realizes she loves Aditya at the last moment (just when he is about to leave). She races to him and plants a solid one on him when she is sure her idiot of an ex is looking (re-enacting the exact scene she had played out earlier in the movie to rid herself of Manjeet).
14. Mohabbatein – Shahrukh’s patta proposal to Aishwarya is one of the most romantic love declarations in Bollywood.
15. Pretty Woman – Richard Gere arrives in a car, hanging out of the sun roof with flowers in one hand and an umbrella in the other and shouts for “Princess Vivien” (Julia Roberts) to come down. He then declares his love atop the fire escape while an opera song plays in the background!
]]>The who’s who of Bollywood dazzled on the biggest red carpet event of the year. Here’s our lineup of the best dressed Bollywood celebs at the 60th annual Filmfare Awards.
The best dressed ladies were the usual divas – Sonam Kapoor in Anamika Khanna, Deepika Padukone in a dress by Ashi Studio, and Ileana D’Cruz in a Nikhil Thampi outfit. From the boys of Bollywood, Black Lady winners Shahid Kapoor and Fawad Khan really brought on their fashion A games!
The return to simple elegance at this year’s Screen Actors Guild Red Carpet was a refreshing change from the sparkling mermaid gowns that ruled for the last decade. Most looks were more “casual, laid-back elegance” than “all out bling”. We pick out the best dressed celebs that graced the 2015 SAG Red Carpet!
Emma Stone looked the height of classic chic with a twist in Dior Haute Couture, with Repossi jewels and Christian Louboutin shoes.
Julia Roberts went for the simple yet extremely elegant look in custom Givenchy.
Sarah Hyland was lovely in custom Vera Wang, with Lorraine Schwartz jewels.
Julianne Moore, in Givenchy Haute Couture, with Chopard jewels.
Rosamund Pike, in Dior Haute Couture, with Fred Leighton jewels.
As pretty, prim, proper and elegant as the stars look heading into the Golden Globes and the Academy Awards, they don’t necessarily make our heads turn and our mouths drop to the floor. But the Grammys is one night when the who’s who of the music industry create unexpected (and at times outrageous!) style statements on the Red Carpet, it’s where they experiment. Here’s our pick of the Best Dressed Celebs at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards red carpet.
Kat Graham showed off toned figure in a Yanina sheer floral-print dress with white pointed Sophia Webster heels and a black Carrera y Carrera statement ring.
Jessie J looked stunning in a sheer black Ralph and Russo gown with a long train.
Gwen Stefani showed off her shoulders in an Atelier Versace black strapless jumpsuit. We particularly loved the asymmetrical top detail with black netting and nude underlay and the sporty silhouette.
Style Queen Taylor Swift wore one of the night’s more colorful dresses, opting for a leg-baring turquoise ombré Elie Saab Spring 2015 dress with fuschia Guiseppe Zanotti heels and Lorraine Schwartz jewels.
Beyonce was absolutely divine in a Proenza Schouler black bead-embroidered tulle gown with delicate train.
Among those that didn’t sit well at the Grammys Red Carpet were Rihanna’s pink gown (that made her look like a two tier cake), Madonna’s corseted look (which we think is high time should be retired!), Katy Perry and Lady Gaga’s over the top bling-y outfits and Nicki Minaj’s bare-all fringed gown. We hope for better looks next year!
The red carpet for the 68th BAFTA Awards was full to the brim with demurely dressed Brits and Hollywood stars sporting plunging necklines. Walking the red carpet, looking extremely dapper, were hunks David Beckham, Tom Hiddleston, Benedict Cumberbatch and Douglas Booth.
Tom Hiddleston looked suave in an Alexander McQueen tuxedo.
Douglas Booth wore a Dunhill cocktail jacket and evening shirt with bow tie.
David Beckham cut quite the dashing figure in a navy blue suit and bow tie.
Olivia Grant looked nothing less than ethereal in a Jenny Packham gown.
Dianna Agron looked like a total glam goddess in a Lanvin gown with Tabitha Simmons heels.
Reese Witherspoon was a stunner in a Stella McCartney gown, baring a showstopping neckline that plunged deep.
Keira Knightley dressed her baby bump in a very pretty Giambattista Valli number.
Nimrat Kaur cut a classically elegant figure in a pink gown with a stylishly plunging neckline.

Rang De Basanti – An epic creation from Bollywood’s own perfectionist Aamir Khan, that portrays brilliantly a group of aimless, ignorant youths coming together and waking up to their nation’s glorious past, as an English girl sets out on a quest to make a documentary on the young freedom fighters of British India! This movie will definitely help you find the proud patriot in you!
Chak De India – A rag tag team of female hockey players unite under their once-disgraced coach (based on the real life story of Kabir Khan) and win an emotional, glorious victory for India at the world hockey championship that will have you pumping your fists in the air with happy tears in your eyes. Absolute must watch!
Roja – Set in Kashmir against the background of political unrest and terrorist attacks, this romance between a newly wed couple is a patriotic tearjerker that will have you reaching for the tissue! It doesn’t hurt that this Mani Ratnam film has been named as one of the best soundtracks of all time by TIME magazine. It is, inarguably, one of A.R. Rahman’s best compositions ever.
The Legend Of Bhagat Singh – Bhagat Singh’s inspiring story has been retold so many times in Indian cinema that it’s hard to choose one. Just pick up any one of the Bhagat Singh movies (our favourite is the one with Ajay Devgan) and feel yourself well up with unconditional love for our motherland!
Gadar – A Sikh truck driver falls in love with a beautiful young Muslim girl during the gory mutiny that was the India-Pakistan Partition. Just give it a watch because “Hindustan zindabad tha, zindabad hai, aur zindabad rahega!”
Sarfarosh – When terrorists kill an honest cop’s brother and disable his father, he fights back against the smuggling of guns and drugs which plagues the country. Pretty awesome performances by Naseeruddin Shah and Aamir Khan!
Swades – An Indian engineer at NASA comes home to look for his old governess and gets caught up in the grass-root level problems of rural India, finally ending up creating a hydro-electricity plant with the help of the villagers. This movie gives us a peek at the real life issues of the rural parts of our country – it’ll leave you with a lot to think about. Also, one of Shahrukh Khan’s best performances ever!
LOC Kargil – An epic (and nearly accurate) depiction of the Kargil War, this film will leave you feeling proud and sad at the same time. It’s a true tribute to the many brave lives lost during the 1999 war.
Lagaan – This one demands to be watched yet again this Republic day as it features one of the quirkiest (if fictional) rebellion stories of British India! A team of Indian villagers learn cricket in order to beat the English team at their own game and win relief from bearing heavy taxes.
1942 A Love Story – For all the romance lovers, this one is the perfect option for republic day viewing! It’s a sweet old-timey romance set in a British India on the verge of rebellion. Bonus – this movie features an awesome original soundtrack by R.D. Burman, his last before he died!
Border- In 1971, along the border region of Longewala, a small battalion of Indian soldiers go up against a 2000-(armed) Pakistani strike force. The movie, one of the best war films of Bollywood, is an adaptation of real life events that happened at the Battle of Longewala fought in Rajasthan during the Indo-Pak war of 1971. This one is the biggest tearjerker of all patriotic movies!
Chittagong - The story is set against the backdrop of a little-known saga in 1930s British Colonial India (now Bangladesh) where a group of schoolboys and young women, led by a schoolteacher Masterda Surya Sen (Manoj Bajpai), dared to take on the Empire.Chittagong is the story of a diffident 14-year-old boy, Jhunku (Delzad Hiwale). Swept up into this seemingly impossible mission, the reluctant teenager battles with self-doubts to achieve an improbable triumph. Also based on the Chittagong Uprising is Ashutosh Gowarikar’s Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey starring Abhishek Bachchan and Deepika Padukone.
Which one will you be watching this Republic Day? Tell us in the comments below!

Here are the Style Stunners that hit the Golden Globes Red Carpet looking chic, super pretty and unbelievably stylish!
We always love a woman who can work pants on the red carpet and Emma Stone totally rocked her Lanvin jumpsuit with a trail!
Universal favorite and super stylish Jennifer Aniston looked anything but basic in her leg-baring Saint Laurent dress.
Jessica Chastain put the capital S in Stunning with her glamorous Atelier Versace gown. Love!

Like if you were looking for Indian wear inspiration for a friend’s wedding, you need not spend hours pouring over bridal magazines and brands’ brochures or surfing the web aimlessly. You only need to see what the best dressed celebs were wearing last week when they attended Riddhi Malhotra’s wedding functions!
Sridevi has always been a Bollywood style icon, so it came as no surprise when she was easily the best dressed at Riddhi’s wedding reception. She wore a pink Manish Malhotra outfit and needless to say, she looked a vision – elegant and lovely!
Sonakshi Sinha stunned in a salmon pink Manish Malhotra saree with sequinned border. The look was simple – minimal with understated glam. Sonakshi pulled off the bare minimum look with utter charm and grace.
Other Bollywood actors totally killing it at the Sangeet ceremony were Huma Qureshi in a white kalidaar by Arpita Mehta and Esha Gupta in a vibrant ensemble from Indian by Manish Arora Couture.
Sonam Kapoor is known for making waves with her articulately chosen outfits and elegant dresses while out and about. She wore a dramatic Elie Saab gown to the Stardust Awards, in which she uncharacteristically showed a lot of leg. For an episode of Bigg Boss, she dazzled in a bright red pre-draped saree by Tarun Tahiliani, looking the epitome of loveliness!
Sonakshi Sinha wore a Payal Singhal kurta and patiala salwar for the Jaipur leg of her Tevar promotions, and we loved the look on her! The high and low kurta makes a wide angle at the hem, emphasizing her waist. And we like the red touch she gave to her cropped bob recently.
For PK promotions, the uber-stylish Anushka Sharma wore a Fendi asymmetrical dress from their
Pre-Fall 2014 collection. She carried a Dior handbag and easily pulled off this risque look.
From the boys, best dressed this week was Arjun Kapoor, doing his promotional rounds for upcoming
movie Tevar. To the Aaj Tak Agenda event, he wore a sharp Hugo Boss suit, a checkered shirt by
Tommy Hilfiger and a Brooks Brothers’ tie. This look on him was chic, suave and utterly
smashing.
Lastly, for a recent charity event, Bollywood newbie Samantha Prabhu donned a very pretty look. She wore a churidaar set from Surendri by Yogesh Chaudhary, accessorizing with metallic jhumkas and wearing her hair in a Frozen’s Elsa-inspired braid. The overall effect of this look was quite pleasing.
