With the beginning of each New Year, we promise ourselves that we’ll be better versions of ourselves – get in shape, eat healthier, spice up our style maybe! This year, if you’re bored with the monotony of your personal style, we’ll tell how to jazz things up a bit without blowing big bucks. You don’t need to spend a whole month’s paycheck on an entirely new wardrobe. You can be a newer version of yourself with just a little bit of effort.
Try out a new hairstyle!
If you’re brave and spontaneous enough, go in for a drastic change – cut it to a bob if you feel like you’ve had long tresses for quite a while! However, if you’re not willing to compromise on your hair length, maybe a change in color is just what you need. The ombre dye is a trend still huge and done correctly, should make you feel great about starting the year on a spirited note! If you don’t want to experiment too much with your mane, the simplest way to change your look is to simply change the way you part hair. Even changing a right part to a left will alter the way you look, breaking the monotony.
2014 gave us some pretty amazing new trends in accessories – bolder, edgier statement pieces that can take the simplest of outfits to total knockouts! This new year, instead of changing the way you dress, stock up on cool statement pieces like earcuffs, boho head chains and body chains.
Get out the Makeup Bag!
Just like fashion, makeup trends change by the season too. And this year’s all about the color! Spring/ Summer 2015 requires that you bust out the bright oranges, the hot pinks and the dark reds for the lips. In fact, Marsala has already been named as the color of 2015. Make those cat and kitten eyes with colored eye pencils and you’re all set to party. As for makeup, a dewy (glowing, with a slight shine) look is all the rage right now.
Tell us in the comments about how you plan on revving up your style game this year!
